The cabins are built by very skilled joiners, and the windows and doors are likewise made of joinery Baltic pine and milled on the newest CNC machines before being hand-joined. Please do not forget: joinery glulam framework has the benefit of zero cold bridging.

Because of the exceptional quality of the wood and structure, DF series log homes are very easy to maintain. If the exterior is coated with a microporous paint that allows molecules of air to pass through, you may expect the cabin to last for a very long time, especially in rainy areas.

The microporous paint objective is to allow the wood to breathe while simultaneously providing a waterproof layer of protection. Two coats are advised to protect the wood, and you only need to recoat once every three to five years. This means that the DF range will continue to withstand the elements as long as it is properly maintained – it will last a very long time without any wood rot or disintegration!

The wall thickness is something that distinguishes the DF range. Many competitors utilise walls with a thickness of roughly 28mm, while the DF series only employs this for its floorboards. Because we all know how cold it can get outside, our supplier offers wall thicknesses starting at 34mm. In reality, we do not recommend buying a log cabin with 28mm walls, or 34mm since it is not an appropriate construction timber thickness.
